Last week marked the annual Florida Educational Technology Conference in Orlando, FL.  This premier edtech conference was an amazing opportunity for the eTechCampus team to share our commitment in supporting educators as they provide innovative instruction for today’s digital learner.  It came as no surprise that the best part of the conference was meeting so many passionate educators committed to empowering students.  We heard all about successes and challenges today’s educators face,  and how we as a company can partner with schools to overcome those challenges.  And yes, we had a lot of fun along the way!

The conference started for us on Wednesday night with an explosion of #iTeachDigital seeking educators swarming our booth.  Flocks of #FETC teachers and administrators were excited to see how Converge is re-defining the learning management system with a user-friendly interface, easy third party content integration, and a platform designed especially for K-12. Coupled with expert professional development and textbook solutions, schools appreciated our full circle approach to digital learning.

A common conversation thread existed around why a learning management system is often a missing link in digital environments.  Every classroom deserves a digital home.  Excitement for our platform was growing and our sea of neon green #iTeachDigital shirts began blossoming on the exhibit floor!

Day 2 and 3  of #FETC were equally igniting as educators streamed toward our bright green corner looking for those awesome shirts and curious about the buzz of an LMS that looked great and worked even better.  We intently listened to what teachers and administrators were looking for  when it comes to centralizing instruction and streamlining workflows.  They appreciate a  web-based, mobile friendly platform  that lets them have control of how and where content gets organized in their courses.  They want a system that keeps them connected to students on-the-go through text and email notifications and supports learning with seamless third party integrations like Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive.  We’re listening, and we’re delivering!

Throughout the conference we enjoyed seeing attendees in their eTechCampus swag – you could spot those neon shirts a mile away!  We had a great time seeking out fellow edtechers in green with fun prize giveaways.

But, in the end, it was the new relationships we forged by listening and connecting with those that share a passion for effective technology integration that really put the smile on our faces.  It’s not about the gadgets, the software, or any tool in isolation.  It’s how you apply it, how you deepen learning with it, and how you leverage it to transform your classroom.  We share your passion teachers, and we look forward to providing a vehicle that propels learning! Thanks, #FETC – we can’t wait to see you again next year!
